We believe that we are unique in Bedford in that we offer a deli-style of presentation where all our fillings are displayed in the counter and customers are able to make up their own bespoke lunch. Alternatively we have an extensive menu of classic and gourmet fillings, which guide your choice.  We offer  jacket potatoes, panini, homemade Stew Pots and soup and a daily hot special.

We offer freshly brewed coffees, teas and hot chocolate alongside a wide range of soft drinks and delicious homemade cakes.

If you’ve missed out on breakfast, pop in for a freshly prepared sausage, bacon or egg roll, push the boat out and enjoy Roosters’ Famous Full English, or grab a coffee before heading to work or into town.

Our breads are made by a small, local artisan baker who uses no additives or preservatives in his production. We receive our order of bread at 5am every morning so you can be sure that is as fresh as it can be.  Alongside traditional white, brown and granary batch loaves and white or brown baguettes, we have a wide range of rolls and our famous Vienna rolls, which resemble a sub roll but their method of baking, with the injection of steam, produces a thinner crust and airy crumb.

Last but not least are our famous salad bowls.  Similarly made to order whilst you wait, they include a generous base of traditional salad items – lettuce, tomato, cucumber, rocket, beetroot and homemade coleslaw, topped with five garnishes of your choice and completed with a salad “filling” of our choice from our huge range.
